Because Computers in Thailand are kicking my ass, I'm going to keep this pretty brief. We landed in Bangkok a week ago today. It was hot and humid and very exciting. I've never seen so many people in one place at one time. Below are some photos of the city. We were in the Bangalampoo area. All food is delicious and cheap. Everyone wants to sell you things.
We took an overnight train to Chiang Mai two days ago, where we've been ever since. It is much quieter (though definitely not quiet!). Old Chiang Mai is surrounded by an old moat and a mostly gone brick wall from the warrin' days. And there are little white lizards everywhere.
Looking suspicious outside our sweet little room at the Number Nice House.
I want to be somewhere with little white lizards! They're much better than the regular 6 foot tall bird-like lizards that are always trying to wipe-out the gelflings.
ReplyDeletei remember those critters ... aren't they geckos? yeah, check their cute little suction cup toes, definitely geckos. i saw lots of orange ones down at the beaches, maybe they have tans
ReplyDeletehi phoebe, it's me Axel..........................!
ReplyDeleteHi Axel! And Family. Yes, I think they are geckos. Eating away at our room's ant infestation! Yesterday we saw a very large spiky lizard. I have no idea what that was, but it was cool too!

So awesome. I love the buildings, girl. And you and Simon are so goddamn suspicious looking in that last picture, I love it.
